Seniors Johnson, Gruntmeir named May 2019 Junior Lions

Kingfisher High School seniors Jenna Johnson and Rob Gruntmeir were recently announced as the Junior Lions for May 2019.

Johnson is the daughter of David and Jerilyn Johnson.

She’s been active in softball, Mercy Student Careers Council, Center of Family Love Teen Board, Mercy volunteer program and is a baseball manager.

Her honors include Student of the Month, National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, 4.0 Award, superintendent’s honor roll and she was an Oklahoma Girls State delegate.

Johnson plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in allied health.

Gruntmeir is the son of Laura Garrett and Don Gruntmeir.

He is the chief photographer for KHS Photography and has won numerous awards in that field at both the state and national level.

He’s been listed on the principal’s honor roll and superintendent’s honor roll. He’s a member of both the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society.

Gruntmeir has also been named Student of the Month and was a Hugh O’Brien Leadership and Oklahoma Boys State delegate.

He plans to attend the University of Southern California and major in business administration.
