September sales higher for two county towns

By

September sales tax checks were higher for two entities in Kingfisher County according to the monthly report of the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC), – Kingfisher and Loyal.

The OTC collects and disburses sales and use taxes for municipalities and counties, along with its collection of state taxes.

The September 2025 distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from July business. Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically. The monies they reported this period represent sales from July 16 to July 30 and estimated sales from Aug. 1 to Aug. 15.

The disbursement of $212,030,286 in sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $8,770,707 from the $203,259,579 distributed to them in September last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and towns was $39,302,940.

In county returns, the counties shared in a $39,539,744 sales tax disbursement and $8,001,238 in a use tax disbursement.
