Several KMS choir students earn Superiors at Seiling
A number of Kingfisher Middle School choir students earned Superior ratings April 5 at the Seiling Music Festival.
Included was the full seventh and eighth grade choir (first photo), which includes, from left: front row, Shaina Hamil, Macy Harrison, Raechel Evans, Zaylynn Lopez, Jayden Shaver, Breona Mc-Connell; middle row, McKenna Auringer, Laney Rose, Sophia Hill, Zoey Padilla, Oivia Reyes, Shelbey Osterholt; and back row, Janneth Navarro, Kerisa Breaux, Courtney Horne, Cheyenne Guy, Damien Haynes, Elijah Johnson and Roger Freels. Sarena Fletcher is not pictured. This group received a plaque for its rating and also was recognized last month for earning a Superior in performance and sight reading at district. This is the first KMS group to accomplish this the rating in both categories.
The large ensemble (second photo) also received a Superior at Seiling. Members were, from left, Elijah Johnson, Damien Haynes, Sophia Hill, Raechel Evans, Zoey Padilla, Janneth Navarro, Laney Rose, Shelbey Osterholt, Jayden Shaver and Zaylynn Lopez. Fletcher, not pictured, also took part.
The sixth grade quartet (third photo), from left, Ella Thomas, Kyden McClellan, Emily Warren and Mylene Jones also earned a Superior. That rating also went to soloists Elijah Johnson and Shelbey Osterholt; the duet of Shel-bey Osterholt and Jayden Shaver; and the quartet of Janneth Navarro, Sophia Hill, Laney Rose and Zaylynn Lopez.
