Shirt sales benefit ‘Christmas With a Cop’
The Kingfisher Police Ladies’ Auxiliary has begun its fundraiser for the second annual “Christmas With a Cop.”
The KPLA is currently taking orders for t-shirts and the sales from those will benefit local children and their families this holiday season (See advertisement on Page 2 of this edition).
As Christmas nears, Kingfisher Police officers will take qualifying children to shop for gifts for their families.
Through donations and t-shirt sales a year ago, police officers were able to take 14 local children shopping.
Kingfisher Police Chief David Catron said that number could go up this year.
“We know with the whole economic impact for Kingfisher with COVID-19 and the oil field collapse, we feel this will be needed even more this year,” Catron said.
T-shirts are $20 for short-sleeve and $25 for long-sleeve.
Orders can by submitted by Sept. 10 to any KPLA member or police officer or at the police department at 117 W. Miles.
