Danny Green, left, Kingfisher High School softball coach, updated the Kingfisher Lions Club last Thursday on his team’s season to date. The Lady Jackets began practicing in July and opened the season Aug. 12. Green told members his squad was 9-7 entering that night's district game at Newcastle. he said this year's team is very young, but was begomign more and more competitive and was in good position to earn a spot int he playoffs.
