Squires, Young named April Junior Lions
Kingfisher High School seniors Jentry Squires and Coltyn Young have been announced as the Junior Lions for April 2020.
Squires is the daughter of Mark and Jona Squires.
She’s a member of the National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, FCA, student council and FFA.
She’s been listed on the superintendent’s honor roll and served as an Oklahoma Girls State delegate.
Squires has earned numerous awards and honors throughout her FFA career.
She is currently the Kingfisher FFA secretary, attended the Washington Leadership Conference and is a member of the State FFA Officer Nominating Committee.
Squires has been a part of national champion teams in livestock evaluation and conduct of chapter meetings.
She’s also a multi-time winner at state-level Career and Leadership De velopment Events (CDE).
When exhibiting at won multiple showman-stock shows, Squires has ship awards and her swine have earned numerous breed and grand champion honors at all levels.
Young is the son of Kyle and Nakomis Young.
He’s active in band, drama, History Club, Business Professionals of America and takes classes at Chisholm Trail Technology Center.
Young has been listed on the superintendent’s honor roll and is a member of the National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and earned the 4.0 Award.
Other honors include the Best Actor Award and the Lamp of Knowledge.
