Sternberger answers NFL questions at Rotary meet
Kingfisher alum Jace Sternberger, right, became an impromptu speaker at last week’s Kingfisher Rotary Club meeting. Sternberger attended the meeting as a guest of his father, Rotarian Jason Sternberger, left, the superintendent of Kingfisher Public Schools. The younger Sternberger just finished his rookie season as a tight end for the Green Bay Packers, who advanced to the NFC Championship game. Sternberger made his first career catch the previous week against Seattle and caught his first career TD pass (from Aaron Rodgers) in the NFC title game loss at San Francisco two weeks ago. Sternberger answered a number of questions from the Rotary audience about being infamously tackled by the back of his helmet by Jadaveon Clowney after his first catch (a play that drew a 15-yard penalty), injuries he suffered in the preseason and overall first-year experiences in the NFL.
