Stillwater firm submits winning bids for county steel bridge materials
Kingfisher County commissioners opened bids on steel bridge materials for Districts 2 and 3 at their meeting Monday.
Railroad Yard of Stillwater submitted the low and winning bids on each project.
Railroad Yard’s bid of $19,630 edged Sunbelt of Meeker for the District 2 project. Sunbelt Equipment and Supply of Meeker bid $21,837.31.
Railroad Yard submitted the low bid of $37,494 on the District 3 bridge project with Sunbelt submitting a bid of $42,202.27.
Commissioners approved a services and price agreement with Entero Services, LLC, of Enid to provide required DOT drug and alcohol testing services for Kingfisher County employees at the following rates: Urine collection and laboratory testing, $45; breath alcohol testing, $25; breath alcohol confirmation testing, $25, and on site fee, $40.
Commissioners approved an access drive permit for Curtis Walker .2 mile east of the intersection of County Roads 2930 and 790 (into Section 7-16-5 – Cashion area), District 1, and a road crossing permit for a three-inch line for Ovintiv in District 3 starting in the NE 22-15-7 and ending in SE 9-15-7. The permit begins in District 3 and enters District 1.
Commissioners tabled for a second time on motion of District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek action on a contract with Total Assessment Solution Corp. in the amount of $55,000.
Shimanek said he wanted to do additional research on the matter.
Total Assessment has provided assessments on oil and gas properties in the past for the county.
Commissioners approved the court clerk’s office management and preservation report for April and a contract with Canadian County Juvenile Detention Center for holding Kingfisher County juvenile detainees as required by the sheriff’s office.
District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny, chairman, and District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss, vice-chairman, joined Shimanek in making all actions unanimous.
Also present for the meeting were County Clerk Jeannie Boevers, official minute clerk, County Engineer Nik Smith and Sheriff Dennis Banther.
Shimanek said he would be attending a meeting of the Circuit Engineering District 8 board of directors on Wednesday. Shimanek is the commission’s designated member to the board.
