Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School students once again put their “Dress Down Rally Round” funds to good use.

Students at the Kingfisher school can bring $5 in order to take part in a “free dress” day, one in which they can wear non-uniform attire.

For the month of January, in celebration of the Catholic Schools Week, students opted to put the money raised back into the community.

Throughout the month, students brought prepackaged snacks or $5 to go toward purchasing snacks to deliver to the local fire department, police department and sheriff’s office.

During Catholic Schools Week, which was Jan. 28-Feb. 1, the sixth grade students took the snacks to the local departments.

Joining the students in making the deliveries were: Makylah Tollefson, principal; Sandy Murray, religious education teacher; and Sherry Pringnitz, sixth grade teacher.
