Summer has arrived
After an unusually cool and wet spring, summertime heat arrived with a vengeance last week.
Temperatures rose to 103 on Wednesday after a high of 102 on Tuesday. The high registered at 7 a.m. Friday (for the preceding day, Thursday) at the National Weather Service Station in Kingfisher was 100 degrees, according to Local Weather Observer Steve Loftis.
More highs in the 100-degree ranges were predicted through Sunday before a chance of showers and cooler temperatures on Monday.
