FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE

Please accept my most sincere appreciation for the opportunity to serve you as a school board member. Education has been “my business,” “my passion,” and “my career” since first I received my education degree, and I have been so honored to serve on the Okarche School Board for the past 31 years. I hope my education knowledge and involvement and my many years of board experience and training have served you and your children well.

Thank you to all the Okarche patrons for their unfailing support and confidence in my abilities. I am incredibly humbled to have worked with my fellow board members, administration, faculty and staff, both past and present, to make Okarche one of the finest school districts in Oklahoma.

Okarche is blessed to have such a dedicated administration and faculty/staff to nurture your children. Because you believed in our dreams, with our careful research and thorough attention to the financial planning for the future of our school district, you now have a new high school, grade school, gymnasium, Black Box Theater, and FFA/Tech-Ed facility of which you can be extremely proud and which will serve our students for many years.

Because I love Okarche and Okarche schools, I will continue to tutor at the school, lobby for local control and all educational issues that concern our children in Okarche and the state.

As I leave the board, once again I say THANK YOU. Okarche patrons, you have given me an incredible opportunity and I will forever be grateful. Everyone says you get more than you give as a board member and it is so true. It is all about the children!
