Top animals named at 89th livestock show; premiums up for grabs at auction Monday

The Kingfisher County Spring Stock Show annual bidders feed and premium auction will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Fairgrounds Exhibit Building in Kingfisher.

The events conclude the 89th annual Kingfisher County Spring Livestock Show.

Headlining the parade of prize animals available for premiums at the auction will be the grand champion and reserve grand champion animals selected at the show, except for prospect steers. (The premium auction begins at 6:30 p.m.)

The top animals include:

Steers: Grand market steer, a crossbreed exhibited by Dilon Fisher of Lomega, and reserve grand, a crossbreed exhibited by Colby Harrison of Dover.

Heifers: Grand champion exhibited by Victoria Gerken of Kingfisher, commercial, and reserve grand, a percentage Simmental, exhibited by Judson Bird-well of Kingfisher.

Lambs: Grand wether, a Hampshire, exhibited by Braden Burns of Kingfisher and reserve grand, a crossbreed exhibited by Jaedyn Magness of Okarche; grand ewe, a crossbreed exhibited by Cade Charmasson of Hennessey and reserve grand, a crossbreed exhibited by Jaedyn Magness of Okarche.

Swine: Grand market barrow, a crossbreed exhibited by Jentry Squires of Kingfisher, and reserve grand, a Hampshire exhibited by Whitney Glazier of Lomega; grand gilt, a crossbreed exhibited by Ryann Ball of Cashion, and reserve grand, a Duroc exhibited by Zoe Lukasek of Kingfisher.

Goats: grand champion wether exhibited by Braden Burns of Kingfisher and reserve grand exhibited by RJ Harrison of Kingfisher; does: grand and reserve grand exhibited by Tyler Trotter of Hennessey.

A listing of stock show winners by class will appear in Wednesday’s edition of the Times and Free Press, along with grand champion and reserve grand photos taken by the official stock show photographer.

The grand prospect steer was exhibited by Karson Glazier of Lomega and reserve grand prospect exhibited by Victoria Gerken of Kingfisher, but won’t be in the premium auction.
