The following traffic accident is being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department.

October 1, 7:45 p.m. - At 1200 block of South Main Street. Leon Hamilton, Jr., 72, Kingfisher, driving a 2002 Toyota, was northbound on South Main Street.

An unidentified northbound semi-truck pulling a sand trailer on South Main Street attempted to pass the Hamilton vehicle and struck the front of the vehicle. The semi-truck did not stop and Hamilton made a report to the police department the following morning. Hamilton reported he obtained the trailer tag number, but police were unable to match the number to a trailer.

Minor damage was reported to the Hamilton vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer David Catron investigated the accident.
