The following traffic accident is being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department.

October 5, 11:15 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Starlite Drive. Amber Mess, 37, Yukon, driving a 2019 Ford, was stopped in the northbound lane of U.S. 81 at the intersection of Starlite Drive. Richard Crumm, 57, Duchesne, Utah, driving a 2013 Ford F350, was northbound on U.S. 81 and stopped behind the Mess vehicle.

According to the report, Crumm stated he had his foot on the brake and gas pedal simultaneously and when he removed his foot from the brake pedal he accelerated, striking the rear of the Mess vehicle.

Functional damage was reported to the Mess vehicle and no damage to the Crumm vehicle. Mess sustained possible head and trunk injuries. Officer Charles Trout investigated the accident.
