The following traffic accident is being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

December 17, 5:42 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Seay Avenue. Shawna Butts, 49, Kingfisher, driving a 2002 Chevrolet, was southbound in the left lane of U.S. 81 near the intersection of Seay Avenue.

April Collings, 38, Kingfisher, driving a 2011 Cadillac, was southbound on U.S. 81 in the left lane behind the Butts vehicle.

Victoria Monk, 23, Norman, driving a 2013 Chrysler, was southbound in the left lane of U.S. 81 behind the Collings vehicle.

According to the report, the Monk vehicle struck the Collings vehicle in the rear, which caused the Collings vehicle to strike the Butts vehicle in the rear.

Disabling damage was reported to the Monk vehicle, functional damage to the Collings vehicle and minor damage to the Butts vehicle.

The driver of the Monk vehicle sustained possible internal and external trunk injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for evaluation by Emergency Medical Services.
