The following traffic accident is being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

March 2, 10 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive. Brandon Loudermilk, 40, El Reno, driving a 2020 Ford F250, was stopped in the outside northbound lane of U.S. 81 at the traffic light of the intersection of Will Rogers Drive.

Merle Perry, 64, Hennessey, driving a 2001 Ford F250, was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81 approaching the intersection of Will Rogers Drive.

According to the report, Loudermilk observed the Perry vehicle approaching rapidly and attempted to turn right onto East Will Rogers Drive to avoid a collision.

The Perry vehicle struck the Loudermilk vehicle in the rear driver’s side. Perry reportedly stated he last remembered passing the hospital and was unaware of what had occurred, the report said.

Kingfisher EMS evaluated Perry and transported him to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for further medical evaluation.

Minor damage was reported to the Perry vehicle and no damage to the Loudermilk vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Officer Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.
