Traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department.
February 2, 1:24 p.m. - At 1609 S. Main St. A 16-yearold female, Dover, driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, was parked at the gas pumps at Jacket Express. Carlos Lopez, 47, Kingfisher, driving a 2013 Dodge Ram, was parked in a parking space in front of the 16-year-old female’s vehicle. The Lopez vehicle attempted to back out of the parking space and struck the 16-year-old female’s vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Aaron Schlegel investigated the accident.
February 3 - At 1500 S. 13th St. A 17-year-old female, Okarche, driving a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, was eastbound in the Kingfisher High School parking lot and stopped for another vehicle. Kyle Fahlenkamp, 18, Kingfisher, driving a 2015 GMC Sierra, attempted to back out of a parking space and struck the 17-year-old female’s vehicle. Functional damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Jason East investigated the accident.
February 4, 6:00 a.m. - At 203 S. Main St. Hugo Mora Ponce, 33, Enid, driving a 2018 Ford F350, was backing out of a parking space at Love’s Country Store and struck a gas pump. No damage was reported to Ponce vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer David Catron investigated the accident.
February 6, 7:50 a.m. - At Main Street and Sheridan Avenue. Brian Theilen, 42, Marshall, driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81, at the Sheridan Avenue intersection. Keshia Holmes, 35, Dover, driving a 2018 GMC Acadia, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 directly behind the Theilen vehicle. The Holmes vehicle struck the Theilen vehicle in the rear. Minor damage was reported to the Theilen vehicle and functional damage to the Holmes vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer Travis Gray investigated the accident.
