Traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:
February 29, 5:20 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Victory Lane. John Jones, 25, Duncan, driving a 2018 Mack truck, was stopped at a stop sign on County Road EW830 (Victory Lane) and U.S. 81.
John Reed, 64, Ninnekah, driving a 2018 Dodge, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81.
The Jones vehicle attempted to make a right turn into the outside lane of northbound U.S. 81 and struck the passenger side of the Reed vehicle.
Functional damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Ryan Gibson investigated the accident.
March 3, 8:30 a.m. - At 200 W. Starlite Drive. Cody Wilkey, 30, Kingfisher, driving a 1998 Ford Mustang, struck a sign post in the Walmart parking lot.
Disabling damage was reported to the Wilkey vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer Travis Gray investigated the accident.
March 4, 9:00 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33. Jeremy Briscoe, 40, Kingfisher, driving a 2011 Chevrolet, was southbound on U.S. 81 and stopped in the left turn lane at the traffic light.
Victor Owens, 29, Russellville, Ark., driving a 2006 Kenworth semi-truck, was southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81.
The Owens vehicle attempted to make a wide right turn onto westbound S.H. 33 and overhanging pipe on the trailer struck the Briscoe vehicle.
Minor damage was reported to the Owens vehicle and functional damage to the Briscoe vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.
March 4, 10:50 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive. Robert Dickey, 77, Ames, driving a 2017 Dodge Ram, was traveling southbound on U.S. 81 through a green traffic light at Will Rogers Drive intersection.
Geraldean Davis, 84, Crescent, driving a 2019 Nissan Sentra, was stopped at a red traffic light on W. Will Rogers Drive.
The Davis vehicle attempted to make a right turn onto southbound U.S. 81 and struck the Dickey vehicle.
Minor damage was reported to the Dickey vehicle and functional damage to the Davis vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer David Catron investigated the accident.
March 4, 4:35 p.m. - At 1305 S. Main St. Betty Kuehn, 66, Kingfisher, driving a 2020 Jeep, was parked in a parking space near the front of the Dollar General.
Jessica Stewart, 42, Kingfisher, driving a 2018 Infinity QX80, was parked in a parking space behind the Kuehn vehicle.
A witness stated the Kuehn vehicle backed out of the parking space, struck the Stewart vehicle and left the scene, according to the report.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Charles Trout investigated the accident.
March 5, 11:15 a.m. - Chisholm Drive and 13th Street. Vivian Palomino, 48, Kingfisher, driving a 2010 Ford, was southbound in the inside lane of South 13th Street, waiting to make a left turn onto eastbound Chisholm Drive.
Baleigh Forbes, 20, Kingfisher, driving a 2003 Chevrolet, was southbound in the inside lane of South 13th Street behind the Palomino vehicle.
The Forbes vehicle failed to stop and struck the Palomino vehicle in the rear.
Minor damage was reported to the Palomino vehicle and functional damage to the Forbes vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.
March 10, 8:15 a.m. - At 13th Street and Overstreet Avenue. Jayden Stitt, 18, Kingfisher, driving a 2010 Chevrolet, was southbound on South 13th Street.
Marianne Hamilton, 40, Kingfisher, driving a 2007 Chevrolet, was southbound in the inside lane of South 13th Street.
Drivers gave conflicting reports of what occurred.
According to the report, Stitt stated he was passing another vehicle when the Hamilton vehicle struck his vehicle. Hamilton stated the Stitt vehicle was passing another vehicle when it entered her lane and struck her vehicle.
Functional damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.
Officer Travis Gray investigated the accident.
March 11, 6:00 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Starlite Drive. Alma Post, 79, Kingfisher, driving a 2016 Ford, was westbound on Starlite Drive at the intersection of U.S. 81 and stopped for a red traffic light.
Bralee Giblet, 26, Kingfisher, driving a 2019 Jeep, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81.
The Post vehicle attempted to turn right into the inside lane of northbound U.S. 81 and struck the Giblet vehicle on the front passenger side.
Disabling damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.
