The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

June 2, 3:15 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33. John Williams, Jr., 82, Coyle, driving a 2013 Ford Taurus, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 at the traffic light of S.H. 33. Tomas Chavez, 26, Douglas, driving a 2014 Peterbilt, was southbound in the left turn lane of U.S. 81, adjacent to the Williams vehicle. Chavez attempted a left turn onto S.H. 33 and Williams illegally turned left in the outside lane onto S.H. 33, according to the report. The Chavez vehicle struck the Williams vehicle on the driver’s side. Disabling damage was reported to the Williams vehicle and minor damage to the Chavez vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer Dillon Chaloupek investigated the accident.

June 2, 4:56 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and West Don Blanding Avenue. Christopher Stock, 39, Mahnomen, Minn., driving a 2019 Ford F350, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81. Stacy Stebens, 31, Kingfisher, driving a 2007 Chevrolet, was southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81. The Stock vehicle attempted a left turn onto West Don Blanding Avenue and failed to yield to the Stebens vehicle, according to the report. The Stebens vehicle struck the Stock vehicle on the passenger side. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Aaron Schlegel investigated the accident.
