Traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:
June 25, 6:15 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Seay Avenue. Brooke Morley, 20, Grove, driving a 2016 Ford, was southbound on U.S. 81 and stopped to make a left turn onto the access road to Dollar General. Laci Hudson, 33, Kingfisher, driving a 2008 Chrysler, was southbound on U.S. 81 in the inside lane. The Hudson vehicle failed to yield and struck the Morley vehicle in the rear. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Dillon Chaloupek investigated the accident.
June 26, 1 p.m. - At Oklahoma Avenue and South Eighth Street. Walter Bannon, 30, Oklahoma City, driving a 2003 GMC Sierra, attempted to back a trailer into a driveway on South Eighth Street. A 2008 Ford was legally parked along Eighth Street. The Bannon vehicle struck the parked vehicle on the front driver’s side, according to the report. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.
June 30, 3:20 p.m. - At Wyatt Avenue and U.S. 81. Gissel Montes Zuniga, 28, Hennessey, driving a Dodge Durango, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81. Alexis Free, 19, Kingfisher, driving a 2005 Chevrolet, was westbound on East Wyatt Avenue and attempting to cross U.S. 81. The Free vehicle failed to yield and struck the Montes vehicle in back passenger side. Minor damage was reported to the Free vehicle and disabling damage to the Montes Zuniga vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer Aaron Schlegel investigated the accident.
