Traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:
July 23, 1:08 p.m. - At the 100 block of West Admire Avenue. Luis Ramirez Estupinan, 35, driving a 2017 Volvo, was traveling north through the alley onto Admire Avenue when the driver’s side struck the northeast corner of the Delvin Jech Agency, damaging the brick and awning.
July 26, 8:26 p.m. - At the underpass on Broadway. Jack Morey, 38, Dickson, N.D., driving a 2005 Kenworth pulling a flatbed trailer with a semi-truck on it traveling east, attempted to go under the underpass. The underpass bridge has a 14’1” clearance. The cargo on the flatbed trailer measured 14’ 6” and struck the underpass, causing minor damage to the cargo. Officers contacted Oklahoma Department of Transportation to inspect the integrity of the underpass bridge following the incident.
July 26, 3:45 p.m. - At 1505 S. Main St., The Shed restaurant. Christy Schellenberg, 35, Kingfisher, driving a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban, reported damage to the rear bumper. Video surveillance of the parking lot was reviewed and there was no evidence that the incident occurred at that location.
July 29, 3:25 p.m. - At the access road to Dollar General. Maria Aboyte, 17, Dover, driving a 2010 Chevrolet, was stopped at the stop sign. Cherie Evans, 43, Kingfisher, driving a 2012 Infinity Qx5, was stopped directly behind the Aboyte vehicle. Aboyte reversed her vehicle, as a semi was attempting to turn and collided with the Evans vehicle, causing minor damage to both vehicles.
