The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department.

August 20, 12:48 a.m. — At 1309 S. Main St. Henry Williams, Houston, Texas, driving a 2006 Volvo, was traveling north on U.S. 81 when a police officer noticed sparks coming from the truck’s trailer and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the driver made a right hand turn onto the access road north of Heritage Pharmacy, running over their flower bed with the trailer’s tires. The officer stated in his report the owner of the pharmacy determined there was no real damage to the flowerbed and declined to pursue the issue.

August 25, 10:18 p.m. - At 200 W. Starlite Drive. A 17-year-old female, Kingfisher, driving a 2006 Toyota, was backing from a parking space in the Walmart parking lot and struck a parked 2019 Nissan, driven by Nicholas Cisneros, 19, Watonga. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

August 26, 12:50 p.m. - At the intersection of Chisholm and Oak streets. Isaura Padilla, 21, Kingfisher, driving a 2013 Honda, was stopped at the stop sign in the southbound lane of Oak Street. Mikayla Robles, 35, Kingfisher, driving a 2016 Dodge, was turning northbound onto Oak Street from westbound Chisholm Street and struck the Padilla vehicle. Minor damage was reported to the Robles vehicle and disabling damage to the Padilla vehicle.

August 28, 3:58 p.m. - At Sixth Street and Harvey Avenue. Roxanna Tartsah, 24, Kingfisher, driving a 2017 Kia, was backing out of a private drive on the west side of Sixth Street. Eve Atkinson, 63, Edmond, driving a 2014 Ford, was backing southbound on Sixth Street from the dead end. The two vehicles collided, causing minor damage to both vehicles.
