Traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:
April 9, 1 p.m. - At 1213 S. Main St. Sharon Lauzet, 74, Okarche, driving a 2021 Hyundai Sonata, was northbound on U.S. 81 near Seay Avenue.
According to the report, the Lauzet vehicle turned right into the Atwoods’ parking lot and struck a stack of fence panels. A witness reportedly stated the vehicle previously struck the curb multiple times while northbound on U.S. 81.
Officer Justin Trumbley said in his report the driver appeared to be suffering from a medical issue and was transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher.
Functional damage was reported to the Lauzet vehicle. No injuries were reported.
April 9, 5:30 p.m. - At East Bowman Avenue and South Rock Island Street.
Jeffrey Tate, 30, Kingfisher, driving a 2001 Buick, was northbound on South Rock Island Street.
A 16-year-old, driving a 2019 Kia Soul, was westbound on East Bowman Avenue near the intersection of South Rock Island Street.
According to the report, the Tate vehicle attempted to turn left onto East Bowman Avenue and struck the 16-year-old’s vehicle on the driver’s side.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.
