Traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:
October 1, 2:55 p.m. - At 10th Street and Toronto Avenue. Marsha Rempe, 61, Kingfisher, driving a 2017 Dodge Ram, was stopped in the Heritage School pick-up line on 10th Street. Lindsay Osteen, 33, Kingfisher, driving a 2017 Chevrolet, was northbound on 10th Street and struck the rear of the Rempe vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Justin Conner investigated the accident.
October 3, 12:40 p.m. - At 13th Street and S.H. 33. Michael Whinery, 63, Geary, driving a 2017 Peterbilt, was eastbound on S.H. 33. Todd Davis, 33, Kingfisher, driving a 2015 Dodge (Kingfisher County Sheriff’s vehicle), was westbound on S.H. 33 responding to an emergency with lights and sirens activated. The Whinery vehicle was attempting to make a left onto northbound 13th Street and came to a stop partially across the westbound lane of S.H. 33, while yielding to the sheriff’s vehicle. The Davis vehicle attempted to go around the front of the Whinery vehicle and left the roadway, striking a tree west of 13th Street and S.H. 33 intersection. Disabling damage was reported to the Davis vehicle and no damage to the Whinery vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.
