Traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department.
October 7, 11:20 a.m. - At Will Rogers Drive and U.S. 81. A 17-year-old male, Kingfisher, driving a 2018 Dodge, was stopped in the drive-thru at McDonald’s. Sandra Lierle, 65, Minco, driving a 2017 Toyota, was directly behind the 17-year-old’s vehicle and failed to stop, striking the rear bumper. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.
October 8, 12:15 p.m. - At 13th Street and S.H. 33. William Parnell, 59, Midwest City, driving a 2019 Ford, was westbound on S.H. 33. Leon Hamilton, 72, Kingfisher, driving a 2002 Toyota, was southbound on 13th Street. The Parnell vehicle made a left turn from S.H. 33 into the outside lane of southbound 13th Street and attempted to turn left into Brick’s Corner Store. The Hamilton vehicle crossed S.H. 33 into the inside lane of 13th Street and was struck by the Parnell vehicle as it attempted to turn left into Brick’s. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.
