Traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department.
October 18, 1:50 p.m. - At 701 N. Main St. Omoniyi Olajide, 44, Oklahoma City, driving a 2008 Freightliner, was parked on the east side of Double D’s convenience store. Theresa Wilczek, 88, Loyal, driving a 2014 Jeep, entered the parking lot and parked behind the Olajide vehicle, while waiting for an available gas pump. According to the report, Olajide stated he noticed the Wilczek vehicle traveling down Court Street, east of the convenience store, and did not realize it had parked behind his vehicle. Olajide attempted to exit the parking lot with the vehicle in reverse and struck the Wilczek vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Offi cer Dillon Chaloupek investigated the accident.
October 22, 4:13 p.m. - At 7th Street and Erwin Avenue. Lou Barrick, 63, Kingfi sher, driving a 2017 GMC Acadia, was westbound on Erwin Avenue. A 17-year-old female, Kingfisher, driving a 2019 Mitsubishi, was southbound on 7th Street. The Barrick vehicle failed to yield at the intersection and collided with the 17-year-old female’s vehicle. Disabling damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Justin Conner investigated the accident.
