ART ON DISPLAY: Kathryn Merrill Western Art will be open to the public later this month in lieu of its annual open house. It will be open Saturday, Dec. 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be cider, cookies and company as Merrill will be working on her latest piece as you shop.

• COFFEE WITH A VET: American Legion Post 5 is inviting all veterans to its “Coffee With a Vet” each month. Coffee and snacks will be served at the Post headquarters at 117 W. Miles from 6 to 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month.
