The local American Legion is canceling its annual Veterans Day breakfast.

The breakfast was originally scheduled Wednesday, Nov. 11.

“With the rise in COVID-19 cases, it was determined that for the health and welfare of the post’s veterans, it would be best to cancel this year’s event,” said Keith Lowry-Henry Ellyson Post 5 Commander Joe Bliss.

“I would like to express my thanks to all veterans for their service and look forward to holding the breakfast next year?
