The Kingfisher Lions Club has announced Emma Wood and Trey Green, seniors at Kingfisher High School, as its Junior Lions for February 2019.

Wood is the daughter of Jay and Libby Wood.

She is currently the FCCLA vice president, FCA co-captain, student council class representative and a member of the girls basketball team.

Her high school honors include class valedictorian, superintendent’s honor roll, 4.0 Award, Superior Academic Award, Oklahoma Honor Society, National Honor Society and Student of the Month, among several others.

She’s also a member of the Mercy Student Careers Council.

Wood plans to attend Oklahoma State University.

Green is the son of Danny and Melanie Green.

He’s active in football, basketball and FCA.

Green has been listed in the National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society and has earned several athletic achievements.

Those include being a member of the 2017 Class 4A basketball state championship team, the 2018 runner-up team, being named to the Canadian Valley Conference team and MVP of the 2018 Wheat Capital Tournament among several others.

Green has signed to play basketball at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.
