Betty Odem

Betty J. Odem, 84, of Cashion, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026. She was born on April 8, 1942, in Indiana, Penn.

Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She dedicated her life to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mother, creating a home filled with hearty home-cooked meals and support for her children.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, David Odem of Cashion; her son, Jack Duranso of Milford, Dela.; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Zuzula, formerly of Vassar, Mich.

Betty had a love for animals over the years, especially her many cherished pet dogs.

In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, visiting the casino and traveling alongside her husband, David – activities that brought her happiness and lasting memories.

Betty will be remembered as a strong spirit who cared deeply for her family in her own way. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Donations may be made in Betty’s name to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Alzheimer’s at 825 NE 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104.

Funeral services for Betty will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 17, at Cashion Christian Church with burial following at Kingfisher Cemetery.
