The funeral for Carolyn Pollard Allen, 84 will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Hennessey officiated by Alan Lee Sample. Burial will follow at Marshall North Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born in the Lovell area on June 5, 1934 to Jack and Velma Sample Pollard and died Monday February 25, 2019 at Hennessey Care Center.

She married Clyde Allen in Enid on June 4, 1952. Carolyn was a sixty-year member of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of Union Chapel Church.

Carolyn is survived by one daughter, Vicky Allen of Kingfisher; one son, Kim Allen and wife Vicki of Lahoma; three grandchildren Jeremy Jack Phelan and wife Trisha, Matthew Allen, Maleah Ashcraft and husband Barry; great-grandchildren Jayden Phelan, Jayce Phelan, Jeryn Phelan, Slade Snow, Kade Alan Snow, Blade Snow, Talus Palomo, Breck Ashcraft, Brittany Dexter and many extended family members.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Velma Pollard, her husband, Clyde, and three brothers, Russell Pollard, Loren Pollard, and Jackie Pollard.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the YWCA Women’s Foundation with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
