Charles “Chuck” Edward Patocka was born Feb. 2, 1959, to Edward and Vivian Vaverka Patocka in Enid.

He went to be with the Lord on Jan. 26, 2021, in Oklahoma City.

He attended Hennessey schools and graduated in 1977. His classmates nicknamed him Lark. He went on to attend Okmulgee Tech and received an associate degree as a diesel mechanic. He married the love of his life Tammy Burpo Patocka on Sept. 4, 1987.

He was a farmer/rancher and crop adjuster in Hennessey and an active member of the Farm Bureau serving as county chairman several years along with the state YF&RCommittee chairman. He routinely helped with the FFA Indian Taco Fundraiser and received the Honorary Chapter Award. He was the treasurer on Kingfisher County Fair Board for multiple years.

He was loved by many for his selfless spirit. He loved the farm, his mustang, cooking, stock showing and watching sports especially football. He was a great cook and enjoyed preparing holiday meals. For several years he participated in the Hennessey Library Chili Cookoff, winning first prize one year for his heart healthy Chili.

He battled health issues for over 20 years but most recently was waiting for a heart and kidney transplant.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and grandparents

He is survived by his wife Tammy Patocka of the home, daughter, Tabitha Lynn and husband Christopher Gilliland of Yukon, son, Charles Austin Patocka and girlfriend Samantha McClelland of Hennessey, brother James (Jimmy) and wife Ann Patocka of Hennessey, sister Patricia and husband Bill Penquite of Bartlesville.

He also became a father figure to his grandson Audyn and foster son Augie Barcelos. He loved his grandchildren and was a wonderful PaPa to Audyn McKay, Wesley and Aurora Gilliland.

Funeral Services will be at the Dover Christian Church on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at 2 p.m., under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
