Cindy Ann Gill passed away May 20, 2021, at the age of 72 in Tulsa.

Cindy was born July 15, 1948, in Kingfisher to Robert Leland Walter and Helen Jane (Smith) Walter Throckmorton.

This is where she attended grade school, loved playing high school basketball and completed her high school education.

On Oct. 23, 1970, she married her high school sweetheart, Gareld Gill of Kingfisher.

In 1976, they moved to Jenks and they have called Jenks home ever since. They had a wonderful marriage and in October 2020 celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

After graduating from high school, Cindy attended beauty college in Oklahoma City where she found a career as a hair stylist.

This was a career she brought with her to Jenks. She loved her job almost as much as the co-workers and customers she was able to interact with and serve each and every day for over 40-plus years until she was forced to retire because of health reasons.

She loved people and always looked forward to seeing and talking with the great friends she was able to make over the years.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jennifer Burnett

She is survived by her husband Gareld; three sons, Lance and wife Kristy, Chad and wife Katie, Eric and wife Lara; eight grandkids; and one brother, Brian Walter and his wife Liz of Kingfisher.

Cindy loved life and if you ever had the opportunity to meet her you knew she was special and one of a kind.

Cindy loved people and friends. Most of all she loved her family and grandkids and cherished family get-togethers and making family memories.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow and a private graveside service will be held with family at the Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.

A celebration of Cindy’s life has been scheduled and will be held at the Redeemer Covenant Church at 5415 E. 101st St., Tulsa, at 1 p.m. Friday, June 4.

Donations may be made in her honor to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Information for making donations can be found online at www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
