Don Leslie Gosney was born Dec. 25, 1955, in Okeene to John and Mary (Dow) Gosney. He died Feb. 27, 2021, at the age of 65.

Don attended Cheyenne Valley School through the second grade. When CVS closed, Don attended Fairview Schools and graduated from Fairview High School in 1974.

He married Susan Gooden of Kingfisher on March 27, 1976, in Kingfisher.

The couple lived in Kingfisher and Don was employed at Gooden Hardware until the summer of 1977 before moving to Edmond where Don worked for companies in the Edmond and Oklahoma City area, including Longbell Lumber and E J Mitchell.

The family moved to Fairview in 1979 and he worked at Waldon’s. He was later offered a job at the gas plant south of Ringwood where he was a field operator for many years.

At the time of his death, Don was a meter technician and had worked 18 years for Mustang Gas Products.

Don is survived by his wife Susan; son Brian and wife Michelle Gosney of Fairview; daughter Kelli Brueggen and husband Gabe of Adair; sister Carol Dean and husband Bill of Lone Oak, Texas; brother John Gosney and wife Kris of Fairview; three grandchildren and four nieces.

Preceding him in death were his parents, infant sister Mary Jane and a nephew.

Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Fairview M.B. Church with Pastor Travis Schmidt officiating.
