Donnesa Jo Schweitzer, 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 19, 2021, at her mother’s house in Kingfisher, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Donnesa was born Jan. 7, 1962, in Kingfisher to Ladonna Joyce Schweitzer and Doyle Herman Schweitzer.

She was a paraprofessional at Okarche High School since 2018. She was more commonly known as “Nece” as she was affectionately referred to by her family, friends and coworkers.

Donnesa is survived by her two children, Promise Deane of Edmond and Caleb Deane and his fiancé Anthony Wilson of Oklahoma City; her mother Ladonna Schweitzer of Kingfisher; her sister Doyla Schoonover of Bartlesville; and her former spouse of 29 years, Curtis Deane of Watonga.

Besides spending time with her family, Nece was an active member of Frontline Church, where she was always eager to assist in the church nursery as she had a passion for working with children.

She loved being at home spending time with her loyal four-legged companions - her four dogs and two cats.

She enjoyed the simper things in life.

She was always searching for a new wind chime to add to her preexisting collection or looking for a unique rock to pick up and add to her rock garden.

Donnesa had a heart of pure gold and a giving spirit. She was always willing to help someone whenever she could.

She touched many lives with her generosity and her sweet soul.

There will be no services held preceding cremation.

Memorial donations may be made to Promise Deane at 1001 North Blvd., Apartment A, Edmond, OK, 73034.
