Edward “Eddie” Leroy Kuehn was born Oct. 24, 1936, in Kingfisher to William and Lena Kuehn and passed away Feb. 10, 2021, in Kingfisher.

Growing up, Eddie was the youngest of eight children and was the last living child from his family.

Eddie married Shirley Beauchamp in 1954 and from this union came eight children.

In 1979, he married Cecil “Jane” Kuehn and gained her four children that he loved as his own.

Eddie worked for the City of Kingfisher as the head of the sanitation department until his retirement at the age of 51. He enjoyed his time working for the city and getting to meet new people.

Eddie enjoyed being outside, especially if he was fishing or out working in his yard. His favorite thing to do was spend time visiting with his family and friends.

He will be greatly missed by all of those he loved.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Cecil “Jane” Kuehn, of the home; children, Rick Kuehn and wife Betty of Kingfisher, Randy Kuehn and wife Taryn of Kingfisher, Fred Kuehn and wife Betty of Kingfisher, Brian Kuehn of Dover, Grant Kuehn and wife Liz of Okarche, Brenda Kuehn of Hennessey, Tracy Keith of Hennessey, Linda LaTarte andhusbandLarryofMoore, Robert Somers and wife Cathy of Dallas, Texas, and April Somers of Oklahoma City; 27 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his two sons, Billy Kuehn and Tommy Somers; grandsons, Justin Kuehn and Kris Kuehn; and granddaughters, Rebecca Ann Cochran and Brandy Thomas.

A funeral service to honor the life of Eddie will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at the Okarche First Baptist Church with Rev. James Inman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Kingfisher Cemetery.

A come-and-go viewing will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1612 S. Main St. in Kingfisher on Sunday, Feb. 21, from noon to 8 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home-Kingfisher.
