Francene Johnson

Francene Erixon Johnson, 99, of Kingfisher, died Friday, April 10, 2020, at Cimarron Nursing Center.

She was born July 26, 1920, in Kingfisher to Arnold and Gladys Erixon, attended Kingfisher Public Schools and graduated from high school in 1938.

Francene married Cloise E. Johnson in 1938. They were the parents of two children and resided in Kingfisher most of their married lives.

She was a 99-year member of the Kingfisher First United Methodist Church where she was active in many capacities including Sunday School teacher and an active member of the United Methodist Women. Francene and her husband also volunteered with their church in several mission projects, especially in Texas and Mexico.

Francene and Cloise were longtime members of the Wally Byam Caravan Club of Oklahoma and pulled their Airstream travel trailer to most of the states in America, including Alaska.

Francene also worked at the Kingfisher airport with her good friend Eloise Bollenbach.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Arlene Basucar, and son-in-law Jim Parham.

Survivors include her daughter Annette Parham of Kingfisher; son C.E. (Sonny) Johnson, Jr., and wife Kay of Highland Park, Colo.; four grandsons, Wayne Parham and wife Kelly of Bella Vista, Ark., Steven Parham of Tulsa, Eric Johnson and wife Debbie of Oklahoma City and Adam Johnson and wife Carolyn of Yukon; five great-grandchildren; sisterin-law Janet McDonald and husband Charles of Oklahoma City; two nephews, Mike Johnson and wife Judy and John Johnson and wife Valerie, all of Kingfisher; and two nieces, Joyce Stuteville and husband Jack of Kingfisher and Denise Erdem and husband Kazim of Clayton, Calif.
