Gladys Trindle

Gladys Elaine Trindle, 92, retired high school business teacher, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019.  

Gladys was born Dec. 24, 1926, at home in the Park Community southwest of Kingfisher. She was the youngest of three children born to Charles Edward and Anna Dora (Leonhardt) Trindle.

Gladys graduated from Kingfisher High School and then went on to attend two years at the Oklahoma College for Women followed by two years at the University of Oklahoma where she received her bachelor’s degree in commercial education in 1949.  

In 1953, she accepted a new teaching position at Clearwater High School in Clearwater, Kan. She taught business classes there for 35 years, retiring in 1988.  

She was a lifetime member of the Chisholm Trail Museum in Clearwater.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Claude Sr. and Edward Trindle and a great-nephew, Zachary Trindle.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services were Tuesday, Feb. 26, at First Baptist Church in Clearwater. Committal services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Kingfisher Cemetery.
