The funeral for Jack G. Witt, 74, was Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at Dover Christian Church, offi ciated by the Rev. Fred Jones.

Burial followed at Dover Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home in Hennessey.

Jack was born in Enid on Oct. 13, 1945, to Rex and Betty Mc-Gee Witt and died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Kingfi sher.

He graduated from Hennessey High School in 1963.

Jack is a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam.

He married Jane Myers in Hennessey on March 19, 1966. Jack was a Game Warden from 1972-2008 and retired as a captain supervising the sixth district.

He was a member of Dover Christian Church, the Game Wardens Association, a lifetime NRA member and a past member of Hennessey Powder & String Club.

Jack is survived by his wife Jane of the home, three children Trisha Price and husband, Wes; Jason Witt and Mary Milacek; Kelli Schilde and husband Adam, all of Dover; nine grandchildren, Bailey, Heath, Addison and Easton Price; Jace Milacek and Josie Witt; Alec, Allie and Kyler Schilde; one brother, Mike Witt and wife Linda. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Betty Witt.

Memorial donations may be made in Jack’s memory to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
