Jeanne Holt
Jeanne Elizabeth Parker Holt was born July 20, 1941, in Tampa, Fla., and passed away on March 23, 2026, In Kingfisher.
She was born to George Parker and Julia Hall Parker.
On Aug. 9, 1970, Jeanne married the love of her life, George Holt in Savannah, Ga. When the two married, Jeanne not only found a husband, but the perfect bonus dad to her four children, Shirlene, Kandy, Kenny and Peg.
After their union, the family lived in various places in Georgia. In October 1974, the family made the big move to Oklahoma and settled in Dover.
The two made the move to Kingfisher in 1989.
Jeanne was known around town by many names: Momma, Momma Red, Momma Jean, Grandma and GG.
She never knew a stranger and considered everyone as family. She loved hosting family events and gatherings where anyone and everyone was welcome.
Not only did Jeanne love people, she loved serving others. She spent many years as a waitress at Terry’s Mexican Restaurant in Kingfisher.
She volunteered at the American Red Cross. Later in life she served the littlest members of the community with an in-home daycare.
After she and George retired, the two enjoyed time at the lake, camping, their countless trips to Walmart (everyone knew them by name) and sitting on the front porch drinking coffee.
Jeanne was known for her beautiful yard and her love of flowers. People often went to her for flower advice, what to plant and when and where to plant them.
She also loved her Coca- Cola. It was not often that she was seen without a can of Coca-Cola or a cup of coffee (a little bit of coffee with a lot of creamer and a lot of sugar…also known as foo-foo coffee). Once she discovered Amazon, she quickly became addicted.
Even to the end, George and Jeanne had a special love story. They loved and adored each other.
They could always be seen holding hands. In their younger days, they loved dancing in the living room. George always walked ahead of her so that he could open her door.
Jeanne leaves behind an incredible legacy of love.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George Holt; her children Shirlene Harrell and Kandy Cochran, both of Kingfisher and Kenny (Trecia) Harrell of Mustang.
In total she had 18 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and one greatgreat- grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings George Jr., Dewitt, Billy, Betty Ann and Bobbie Jo; her precious daughter Peg; beloved niece Susan Holt; and great-grandsons Kaden and Jace.
A celebration of life for Jeanne is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, March 30, at Frontline Ministries under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
