Jo Ellen Voss, beloved wife, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away June 9, 2020, at her home in Edmond.

Jo Ellen was born July 19, 1941, in El Reno, the daughter of John and Margaret (Sherman) Wier.

She graduated from Loyal High School.

She and her husband, Don, managed the Dairy Boy in Okarche, that Don and his father founded, until 1986. From 1994 to 2004, she worked for Integrated Medical Delivery.

“Grandma Jo” loved her grandkids and attended just about every event they had, including traveling all over for tournaments and meets.

She volunteered at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School Booster Club, which involved endless hours in the concession stands.

She loved watching sports of any kind and always had two games playing in the living room. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, drinking margaritas and traveling. She loved her dogs, Blaze and Max.

Jo Ellen was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Don Voss, and brother, Sam Wier.

Jo Ellen left behind her son, Dale Edward Voss, his wife Stacey and their children, Ashley, Nicole and Hunter; her son, Alan Wayne Voss, his wife Joan and their children John and Sarah; and many other loving family and friends.

She will be greatly missed.

A wake was 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, and Mass of Christian Burial is 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18.

Both services will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home, El Reno.
