    John “Richard” Ahlden — Veteran

John “Richard” Ahlden was born Sept. 2, 1940, to John and Mabel Duggan Ahlden. He died Dec. 22, 2019, at Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher at the age of 79.

Richard was baptized Sept. 29, 1940, and confirmed April 11, 1954, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Okarche.

After school, he joined the Air Force and then came home to farm and ranch.

Richard loved his horses and dogs.

He graduated from Oklahoma School of Auctioneering in August 1989. Many of you may remember him sitting at Jacket Express or Brick’s drinking coffee with the boys.

Richard is survived by his daughter Barbara Homier and husband Roy of Kingfisher and son James Ahlden and wife Beth of Calumet. Also, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Stacie Macy, husband Steve and children Porter and Maren of Overland Park, Kan.; Michael P. Ahlden of Idaho and children Chason, Aurora and Rosemary; Kendall Ahlden, wife Casey and children Bailey and Stetson of Okarche; Karen Alig, husband Joe and boys Brady and Briley of Okarche; Klint Rother, wife Saybra and daughters Zoey, Riley and Natalie of Okarche; Lynna Ahlden and son Travis of Hydro; Scott Rother and Melany Wright of Okarche; Levi Ahlden, wife Paige and son Collas of Piedmont; Ashley Ahlden of Okarche; Anthony Guthrie of Talihina and daughter Tessa of El Reno, and Nicole Ahlden and daughters Brooklyn and Skyla of Velma; Casey Gaulf, husband Tim and children TJ and Lania of Okarche; nephew Warren Ahlden and wife Kim of Okarche, and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Robyn Lynn Ahlden Hutchings, brother Donnie Ahlden and wife Carol Ahlden.

Celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at the Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene with Jeff Liles offi ciating.
