Joyce Schutkesting
The mass of Christian burial celebrating and honoring the life of Joyce Annette Schutkesting, 64, of Kingfisher will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Kingfisher with Reverend Father Francis Nguyen officiating. Burial will follow in the Hennessey Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Joyce was born Aug. 29, 1954, in Kingfisher, to George Jr. and Marie Endres and passed from this life on Feb. 28, 2019, in Kingfisher.
She was the middle child of 13 children and was raised and educated in Kingfisher, where she graduated from high school.
She married Jack Schutkesting on Aug. 28, 1984.
She worked in the heat and air industry and for the last 15 years she was a bank teller in the drive-thru for NBC Bank in Kingfisher, while also serving as a member of the Kingfisher Elks Lodge and Kewas.
She loved working in the yard and loved her flowers. Most of all, she loved her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Mike Endres and Delvin Paul, sister Alice Kaye, daughter Heidi Sorg, grandchildren Alex Schemmer and Olivia Marie, niece Shelly (Kale) Minor, and nephew Landon Endres.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Schutkesting, of the home; sons David Schemmer and wife Michelle of Waukomis, Edward Schemmer and wife Amber of Kingfisher, Robert “Bob” Sorg of Hennessey; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
