LaDonna Kochenower was born Dec 11, 1929, near Hitchcock to Albert David and Ella Kline Hauser and went to her Heavenly home Oct. 24, 2020, in Kingfisher.

LaDonna went to school at Loyal, Alpha and Omega and graduated in 1948 from Omega High School. She married Billy Joe Kochenower on Dec. 4, 1947, in Kingfisher.

They were married for 64 years and together had one son, David, and adopted Violet Elsa Kochenower.

LaDonna helped her husband farm and milk cows for several years, then they moved into Kingfisher in July 1963 where Billy went to work for his brother at the DX station and LaDonna baby-sat.

They bought the station in 1971 and LaDonna started to work there keeping the books.

They changed the name to Bill’s Sinclair and later sold the station in September 2000 and retired. LaDonna and Bill worked with the Kingfisher County Food Bank for 30 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Circle 2.

She is survived by son, David Kochenower of Kingfisher; two grandsons, Chris and wife Judie of Houston, Texas, and Scott and wife Sandy of Mesquite, Texas; two great-grandsons, Brennon and Caelan; one great-granddaughter, Claire; two nieces, Arneda Sealke of Okeene and Raedene and Fred Peck of Enid; two nephews, Arlynn and Hazel Hauser of Okeene and Ron Hauser of Kingfisher; sister-in-law Lois Kochenower of Iberia, Mo.; and many other very special friends and other nieces and nephews .

LaDonna was preceded in death Jan. 8, 2012, by her precious, loving husband, Billy; special brother, Raymond Hauser; sister, Verna Fay De Witt; and special daughter-in-law, Rita Kochenower.

Graveside services for LaDonna will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30, at the Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral and Cremation Services-Kingfisher.

Viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.
