Funeral service for Lela Kunau, 88, of Kingfisher, was Monday, Jan. 27, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Watkins officiating. Burial followed at Kingfisher Cemetery with arrangements by Sanders Funeral Service.

Lela was born in Wirt on Dec. 5, 1931, to Mary J. Carroll and Ira Enloe. She married Floyd

She married Floyd Skrimager on Nov. 18, 1948, in Hobbs, N.M., and was married 31 years until his death in 1980.

She married Robert Kunau on Feb. 14, 1993. She passed away three weeks before their 27th anniversary.

Lela was a homemaker.

She was an inspiration and loved by everyone who knew her. Her family always came first.

She made the best pies around. She loved to bowl and was a member of the 600 Club. She was a member of ESA. She also loved to golf, play bridge and various card games with Bob, her children and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Skrimager; brother, Jesse Smith and wife Betty; brothers-in-law C.W. Martin, Buddy Garner, J.A. Mills and Corky Shaw; son-in-law Kenneth Yost; daughter Paula Goode; son Steve Kunau; and nephew Rob Irvine.

She is survived by her husband of the home, Robert (Bob) Kunau; daughter Linda Jackson and husband Bruce of Enid; daughter Sue Yost of Kingfisher; son Wade Skrimager of Good Year, Ariz.; daughter Connie Musaeus of Palisade, Colo.; sister Jean Mills of Odessa, Texas; sister Jodi Reed and husband Milton of Lubbock, Texas; sister Sharon Shaw of Montgomery, Texas; brother Jim Smith and wife Carol of Big Horn, Wyo.

Also, 14 grandchildren: Brandon Yost and wife Shasta, Bridget Birdwell and husband Joel, Casey Jackson and wife Jalene, all from Kingfisher; Shane Jackson and wife Marcee, Dusty Jackson and wife Heather, Nicholas Jackson and wife Maggie, all from Enid; Logan Mahaffey and husband Brennen, Mason and Canon Skrimager, all from Good Year, Ariz.; Christian Kingery of Preston, Wash.; Josh Kunau and wife Kate of Denver, Colo.; Jessica Charles and husband Reggie of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; Tiffany Goode and Donovan Goode of Sand Springs; 28 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher or any organization of your choice.
