MEMORIAL SERVICE

Mary Josephine “Jo” Ramer was born Sept. 5, 1927, to Carl Ira and Mary Josephine Mills and passed away March 12, 2019, at the age of 91.

A graveside service for Jo and her husband James C. “J.C.” Ramer, both of Omega, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Kingfisher Cemetery.

J.C. was born May 15, 1926, and died Nov. 13, 2015.

Mary was raised on a farm in Hitchcock and attended Centralia grade school and graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1945.

She worked for many years for R.A. Young and then TG&Y, Dairy Land, Lomega Schools as a bus driver and the Kingfisher County Election Board from 1970 to 2014.

She married J.C. Ramer on May 11, 1946, in El Reno.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Mary Cantu and husband Richard, Ronald Ramer and wife Juliann, Shirley Schwarz and husband David; two sisters, Bessie Dighton, Louise Kennett; two brothers, Larry Mills and David Mills; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the LEAF Program at Lomega Schools.
