Mary Evelyn (Jones) Kite, 80, died Saturday, Jan. 2021.

She was born in Cox City, Feb. 24, 1940, to Albert and Bertha Jones.

Mary went to at Pikes Peak. She married Jimmie Beaver in 1958. They had two children, Marlon Wayne and Mary Christine.

On Oct. 1,1983, she married Roy David Kite, bringing with him his two daughters Debbie and Cindy.

Mary at AT&T for 30 years, then she and Roy retired to Lake Eufaula in 1996. She enjoyed being at the lake, entertaining her family, quilting group, friends, cooking, sewing and crafts. They returned to Piedmont to be closer to their family in 2007.

After a wonderful day Friday with Roy, she went to her heavenly home Saturday. Jan. 23, 2021, after suffering a stroke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Marlon, brother Albert Eugene, brother-in-law J. W. Steppick, niece Michelle Poppa and stepson-in-law Bobby Taylor.

She is survived by her husband Roy; daughter Christine and husband Steve Knecht; daughter-in-law Denise Beaver; two step daughters Debbie Taylor, Cindy Burkhalter and husband Russell; sister Jearldine Steppick; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Viewing was held at Buchanan Funeral Service from 1-8 p.m. Thursday.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday Jan 29, 2021, at Westside Christian Church inYukon for family only. Burial followed at Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
