The funeral for Mary Lois Bailey, 94, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 6, at Dover Christian Church. Rev. Fred Jones will officiate.

Burial will follow at Dover Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid.

Mary Lois was born Oct. 25, 1924, in Dover to Mirmeth Hayes and Helen (Gray) Eubank. She died Monday, April 29, 2019, at Hennessey Care Center.

Mary Lois graduated from Dover High School in 1942. She married Howard Bailey May 4, 1942, in Kingfisher on their school skip day.

She lived in the Dover Community most of her life, going from city girl to farmer’s wife and homemaker.

As well as raising four children with their various school activities, she later worked as a telephone operator and at the Hennessey Care Center for several years, retiring in May 1989.

Mary Lois was a faithful member of the Dover Christian Church, serving on various committees and helping with their noodle project until she was 90 when health issues slowed her down. She was a 10-year member of the North Enid Lions Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Bailey in 2004 and two brothers, infant Levi Leslie and Charles Leroy Eubank.

Surviving are three daughters, Marilyn Cooper and husband Harold of Enid, Margaret Reina and husband Pat of Nolensville, Tenn., and Sybil Price and husband Darrell of Kingfisher; son Tarlton “Buddy” Bailey and wife Jean Ann of Yukon; sister-in-law, Dorthy Eubank, Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
