Melva Wood

Melva May Marlow Wood passed away at the age of 93 on Dec. 29, 2020. She was born on May 1, 1927, in Cashion to Herschel and Hazel Marlow.

Melva’s role as a mother and Christian were very important to her.

She will be remembered as a selfless person who went out of her way to help others and a wonderful friend to many.

Melva was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Ray Helms, second husband Clint Wood, son Johnny Helms, daughter Diana Wood, sister Vera Jeffress and brother John Marlow.

She is survived by her daughter Leshia Smith, son Monty Wood, daughter Dody Altom, brother Bill Marlow, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.

Melva willb e very missed by her family and friends.
