Michael “Mike” Laurance Randall, 63, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2020.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to many.

Mike was born to Laurance and Deloris Randall of Okarche on June 11, 1957. He was the oldest of six children.

He married the love of his life, Teri Lorrain Stoner, in April 1978. Together they raised four sons.

Mike graduated El Reno High School in 1975.

Prior to graduation he enlisted in the Oklahoma Air National Guard where he had the honor of being sworn in by his father, Laurance Randall. He served from August 1975 until his retirement in June 2017 at the Will Rogers Air National Guard base.

Mike became one of the most knowledgeable members of the civil engineering community and was often sought out by other states’ Air National Guard units, the National Guard Bureau and the United States Air Force Command.

He earned the rank of Chief Master Sergeant in the 137th Civil Engineering Squadron, overseeing daily operations of the civil engineering unit until his retirement.

Despite his high position and numerous awards, he earned respect amongst his subordinates for his willingness to get his hands dirty and lead with humility and honor.

After his retirement, Mike kept himself very busy with numerous hobbies, with a particular love of woodworking. He was well known amongst friends and family for devoting his time to this hobby, making pieces that ranged from very simple to very elaborate.

His pieces were often coveted at the Randall family Christmas party where he would deviously include them in their Dirty Santa game just so he could watch his children, siblings, nieces and nephews fight over what he made, much to his humorous delight.

He was preceded in death by his wife Teri, mother Deloris, father-in-law Melvin Stoner and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his four children and their spouses, Matthew Randall and partner Andrew of Oklahoma City; Nicholas Randall and fiancé Janice of Oklahoma City; Jordan Randall and wife McKenzie of Okarche; and Brandon Randall and wife Ashley of El Reno.

Other survivors include grandchildren Alice, Lillyanna, Anna Lee and Lincoln; father Laurance Randall of Okarche; siblings Bob Randall and wife Kim of Enid, Cindy Mulanax and husband Stan of El Reno, Janelle Sylvester and husband Jason of Edmond, Ken Randall of Sand Springs, Darla Ketner and husband Scott of Yukon; mother-in-law Mary Stoner of Oklahoma City; and numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will be held at Huber-Benson Funeral Home in El Reno from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.

A graveside service will be held at El Reno Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2.

The family requests that face masks are worn by all in attendance for both.
